me about Ewood Foods
Ewood Foods is
very much a family owned, independent business with father, mother and
there two sons all involved. Originally founded by Geoff Sutcliffe over
30 years ago, his eldest son Stephen now looks after the day to day running
of the business, over looking the supply of an 800 and growing, loyal
customer base in the independent food trade. The business in the last
five years as changed dramatically and also grown rapidly and continues
to do so, expanding both our premises and our product range and we are
now the preferred supplier in to most types of food outlets including
hospitals of which we are proud to be an official NHS framework supplier,
as well as also schools, universities, nursing homes, care homes, pubs,
hotels, sandwich shops, bakery, cafe, restaurant, golf clubs and outside
caterers to name a few.
In this time we have built an excellent and enviable
reputation for customer care, providing a second to none delivery service
at very competitive prices, which in turn as seen the business grow from
strength to strength from very humble beginnings to now one of the North
West's leading independent food service wholesalers.
We offer a comprehensive range of products purchased
from the leading manufacturers in the industry, which consists of frozen,
chilled, ambient grocery, drinks, non foods, cleaning, disposables and
paper as well as many specialist local lines. The range continues to
develop and expand, reflecting the latest eating trends and tastes.
Operating from a modern purpose built warehouse at the
heart of the motorway network, a fleet of multi temperature vehicles
from 3.5T to 7.5T serve our customers on a weekly basis covering the
North West, West Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and the Fylde
Coast.
Using the best in modern technology, backed up by a dedicated
and focused team of staff who understand your business, we work with
our customers to provide and exceed their needs, offering a next day
service "you can depend on" and all delivered on one invoice
for ease of administration.
Being a member of the Sterling Super Group enhances our

with the nationals on price but still maintaining the "easy and

Which
area's do you deliver to?
A fleet
of multi temerature vehicles supply the North West, Lancashire,
Preston, Wigan & West Lancashire, Greater Manchester & South
Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington & St Helens, Blackpool,
Lancaster & the Fylde coast and West Yorkshire including
Leeds, Bradford, Halifax, Skipton, Todmorden & Huddersfield.
Do
Ewood Foods offer free deliveries?
Yes.
Providing your orders are reaching a minimum delivery spend of £50
as an average.
We also understand that things dont always go to plan
and will always endevour to help in emergency.
Is
my order delivered on one invoice?
Yes,
our vans are multi temperature with chilled, grocery, frozen
and non food delivered from the same vehicle.
What
days do you deliver?
We deliver
up to five days per week, Monday to Friday. Usually, depending on
your distance from our depot, you should be offered a minimum of
a couple of delivery days per week but in most area's there are three
delivery days or more per week. We also understand that things dont
always go to plan and will always endeavour to help in emergency.
Can
we come and collect from the premises?
Yes, we can
offer a collection service. You can either ring your order through
and we can have it ready for you on arrival or browse through our
product list and place your order in person with our telesales team.
NB: Collections are not available unless the order has
been rung through previously. Please allow 1 hour for the order to be
picked although we will always endevour to help in emergency.

We sell many
of the leading brands including Kelloggs, Knorr, Heinz, Hellmanns, Nestle,
Cadbury, Nescafe, Coca-Cola, HP, Colmans, Silver Spoon, Bisto, Maggi,
Unilever, El Paso, Blue Dragon, Mc Dougals, Steak Canadiann, Whitby,
Discovery, Kerrymaid, Flora, Branston, Jus Rol, Dr Oetker, PG Tips, Robinsons,
Calypso, Yazoo and many more.
We also supply many of the industries leading manufacturers dedicated to food
service as well like Panesco, Sidoli, Kara, Lantmanen, Pritchitts, Darta, Lamb
Weston, Lutosa, McWhinneys and Daloon to name just a few.
What

We run regular
weekly or monthly deep cut promotions with heavily discounted deals.
We strive to be your preferred supplier so we are always more than
happy to also work with customers on an individual basis and promote
products unique to there business to help drive sales forward that
are beneficial to all parties.

What
procedures do we have in place to maintain food safety?
We operate
a full HACCP system which in continually developed to reflect best
working practice. We have gained accreditation to STS standard which
is subject to external audits by a UKAS accredited body and is also
recognised by the NHS as there form of due diligence.
We have a team of highly trained staff dedicated to achieving
the highest quality of service right through the business, motivated
to deliver "customer focus" by listening to the customers needs
and responding to those needs.
We operate one of the industry's leading bespoke IT systems that has
been specifically developed for food distribution only and that seamlessly
integrates our sales, accounts and purchasing. We have on screen to help
you when placing orders, your full order history and customer notes,
prices, product information and details, stock levels, special offers
etc with every aspect of a customers order being able to be tracked from
the point of taking the order, through picking, loading, through to delivery.
We operate from a modern purpose built warehouse at the heart of the
motorway network which has seen significant investment so as in keeping
with our own continuous expansion and growth and to maintain efficiency
in what we do.
We also operate a fleet of up to date multi temperature vehicles ranging
from 3.5 tonne to 7.5 tonne with the latest refrigeration systems.
How
are we helping the environment and reducing our carbon foot print?
Ewood foods
has invested significantly to ensure were possible our refrigeration
systems in both our plant and vehicles are reliable and efficient
by using state of the art technology and thus saving energy and benefiting
the environment.
We have our own environmental action plan and are proud
in the fact that 70% of our chilled turnover is sourced locally including
many specialist lines to help support local business and reduce our carbon
foot print. This is something we support whole heartedly.
